A 10 km depth powerful magnitude 7.5 earthquake hit 30 km (19 miles) away from Moron, Carabobo, Venezuela, in the late afternoon of Wednesday, Jun 24, 2026 at 6.05 pm local time (America/Caracas GMT -4). The epicenter latitude and longitude are 10.4351°N / 68.4716°W. A minute earlier a 6.4 magnitude and 20 km depth 3 km SE of Yumare, Venezuela. While the death toll number is not exact so far it is estimated nearly 1,943 and about 69,000 remain missing. After many days without electricity it has been restored. Some media reports have claimed that entire neighbourhoods vanished. La Guaira, Venezuela has been the most affected area.
