People answered my question, these people are Natives to British Columbia soil within the syilx Okanagan traditional territory. The owner of the Universal Ostrich Farm, a research farm in British Columbia is currently being protected by tribal member that they met on Tuesday evening. The syilx representatives are making the decision over the land, which is within the syilx Okanagan traditional territory. The syilx have declared the property on unceded land and have ordered a cease and desist to protect the animals and land, which are now under syilx protection not the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. They will protect the Universal Ostrich Farm and prevent the cull.
