What is sound therapy? If you are out on vacation or visiting a resort spa you will find sound therapy or sometimes called sound healing. Sound therapy is described as a technique that:
uses specific tones, frequencies, and vibrations from instruments like singing bowls, gongs, and tuning forks to promote mental and physical well-being. It helps reduce stress, ease anxiety, lower blood pressure, and manage conditions like tinnitus.
My first time I had sound therapy done to me was at the Furama Resort in Vietnam, Danang. It was a one of a kind experience. I really enjoyed listening to the beautiful sounds the Tibetan bowls resonated to my ears. Since I had never been to one before I really had no expectations. I did not even know that I had to lie on my back. As I lay there listening to the heavenly sounds that came from my head where the bowls were placed over the floor close. The sound healing session lasted for 15 minutes with a 334 megahertz frequency. The frequency of 334 Hz, “can have a positive influence on the aging process, which is influenced by external influences such as light pollution.” As I lay there with my eyes closed I allowed time not to take up space in my mind. When it was over I was ready to continue with my day full of energy. I was ready for tomorrow's session.
