Trump’s Ultimatum: A Peace Deal or War. Tonight is the deadline at 8:00 pm for Iran to come to the table. The United States President is using the Strait of Hormuz as a peace deal. Will Iran open the Strait of Hormuz or will the war intensify? Just yesterday, April 5, 2026 he wrote on truth social:

If Iran refuses to make a peace deal and not open the Strait of Hormuz, Bridges and Power Plants will be obliterated.

On a usual day, the Strait of Hormuz transports loads of oil per day, about 20 % of the oil worldwide. A 30 mile wide strip of water, the Strait of Hormuz leaves about 1 mile each direction of a ship to pass by through a small area between the countries of Oman, Iran and UAE. Barrels of Oil and other Petro liquids that passed in 2018 were 21 million barrels per day. Each barrel is about 159 liters about 300 billion liquid per day. Only the UAE and Saudi Arabia can bypass the Strait of Hormuz by shipping outside of the Persian Gulf and have pipelines and get oil to those ports. Saudi Arabia has the East west pipeline.. Abu Dhabi pipeline 1.5 million barrels of oil per day.
As the Strait of Hormuz is becoming the central reason for the War between United States and Iran there the UAE may have already found a solution to bypass the Strait in its entirety. It plans to secretly build a way to keep oil moving within UAE territory. But that will take a few engineering tricks and a few years.
