The mystery to the halt is not being answered neither by the FAA or the Jet Blue airline, according to the Associate Press reporters. The associated press later reported that the halt was lifted 40 minutes later. ABC news said it lasted 90 minutes. Other reported, "Often cyber-attacks or major software/IT disruptions cause these types of requests to be made". This comes after ABC news reported about the sleeper cells are activated.
