Unusual weather, barely snow, snow not melting. Who investigates the weather? If you were in Winnipeg on December 26, 2025 you woke up to one degree. Which is unusual for this time. Just three days ago, it was reported to be -34 c. There is no such thing as chinooks in Winnipeg, Canada. For the past week it has been cloudy. It normally is cloudy after the planes engineer the climate. Looking at the Government of Canada climate website , the one degree will occur at 9 am on December 26 2025 just for an hour and by 11 am reaching +3. By noon it will reach zero and then decrease to -11 c by 7 pm. The sky is bright blue and by 9 am the Sun is coming out strong as the clouds have decimated. This is unusual because by noon the climate is usually the warmest, not like it is today.
Although those are the reports, the car weather detects it to be +5 c by 9 am. The snow on the ground is not melting. Unusual no. In the past it snowed hail and it was plus and for hours the snow was not melting. This is a phenomenal thing happening in the past decade. Today Winnipeg barely has snow on the ground.
