#NewYearsResolutions Trend

by Veronica Davis 2017-12-30 1:41 pm

On top of a mountain in Galilee, Our Lord Jesus Christ tells the multitudes found in Gospel of Matthew 5:48, "Therefore, you shall be perfect, just as your Father in Heaven is perfect"
 In those precious words Our Celestial Father, God told us that we are as perfect as in his image ...perfect. A master piece in his image.

Trying to make a New Year Resolution is  the most ridiculous thing when I look back now.  I grew up hearing about it in magazines. Loosing weight, making more friends, waking up early. Anything and everything to show your own imperfections. Every year I tried it out. Only to find out it was a huge disappointment rather than an enjoyment. Some goals were met others were not. Whatever the case , Now I see The whole concept of a New Years Resolution is simply a trend which now I see as bogus. It is another ritual. It is like the ideology of the book the "secret". The more you try the more you fail.  The truth is that no one really knows the future. With so many other factors into consideration that are bound not be fulfilled. It is another concept of Wishful Thinking. When you are at the moment writing down the resolutions they are simply wishes.

It is no coincidence that a song called "You Raise Me Up" has over 30,124,540 views. But either ways, this song is beautiful enough from the weak that need strength and for the strong who want more strength as we all walk the same path and journey in this life.

The truth is that God will give us anything at the time it is suppose to be given. It is like prophecies being fulfilled. Prophecies are fulfilled at the right moment. Just like the Biblical Phrase found in the Book of Ecclesiastes "there is a season for everything".

The only thing I learned overtime is that everyday we should accomplish our very best.

The Season For Everything

There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven:

A time to give birth, and a time to die;

A time to plant, and a time to uproot what is planted.
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to tear down, and a time to build up.
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance.
A time to throw stones, and a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace, and a time to shun embracing;
A time to search, and a time to up as lost;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear apart, and a time to sew together;
A time to be silent, and a time to speak.
A time to love, and a time to hate;
A time for war, and a time for peace.

What profit is there to the worker from that in which he toils?

I have seen the task which God has given THE SONS OF MEN with which to occupy themselves.

He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their HEART, yet so man will not find out the work which GOD has done from the beginning even to the end.

I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one's lifetime,
moreover that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor, it is the GIFT OF GOD.

In the late 1950's Pete Seeger wrote a song about Ecclesiastes "Turn! Turn! Turn! (To Everything There Is a Season)", or simply "Turn! Turn! Turn!" later made famous by the Rock band called The Byrds.

Be Thankful For What You Have

The more thankful you are, the more God will provide. God knows everything that you need, he told us in the Gospel of Matthew.

As well,  Be thankful for what you have. Eventually I learned that I was to never be dissatisfied or disappointed if i never wished for the materialist. Is what you are asking for material, physical or is it spirituality and wisdom.

Achieving  Storage

 Achievements are like storing a book that you never read but yet full of dust. It is like working hard to achieve things and never truly being happy on the inside. Always striving. Never satisfied. So goals and achievements are words not found in the Sacred Bible. However, Our Lord Jesus Christ does mention "anxiety".

Goals Create Anxiety

Goals wrecks people making them anxious.
You do not want to start of new time frame full of anxiety.
 New Year's Resolution is time oriented.

When you do not achieve that small or large goal
 you feel like you went two step backwards and now only to take one forward.
Right.

 Stepping stones, Milestones, Goals , Achievements are all time constraints.
Therefore, keep God and love in your heart every morning and every night until the time of your death.

Glorifying the Word of God
And you shall be able to Seeing in the Dark

 Seek the Word of God in Gospel of Matthew when Jesus said to the crowd in Galilee on the Sermon Mount in (Matthew 6:33)

But Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall
be added to you.

Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.
Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Do not wait for the ball to drop to feel happy. Oh now I can start my New Year Resolution.
Never put time constraint. Which reminds me of the phrase God gave to me on November. " Time is not what it seems". So stop paying attention to time because it is never too late for you to find what you are looking for.

Moreover, and So New Year's days is also not celebrated worldwide. Regardless what you watch on television and however it is portrait by the Media, the Jewish , Chinese, and Muslims do not celebrate New Year's because their Calendar is not even close to the Roman Calendar. So the Roman, the Chinese, the Hebrew, the Gregorian, the French Republican, the Solar, Hindu Buddhist, Islamic, Persian, Coptic, Ethiopian, and Mayan are among a few Calendars that shows the diverse origins, cultures and customs of the world.  Furthermore, around :

 46 B.C., Roman emperor Julius Caesar had moved the first day of the year to Jan. 1 in honor of the Roman god of beginnings, Janus, an idea that took some time to catch on. However, in 1582, Pope Gregory XIII brought the Jan. 1 New Year back in vogue with the Gregorian calendar -- a concept that persists today. The origin of making New Year's resolutions rests with the Babylonians, who reportedly made promises to the gods in hopes they'd earn good favor in the coming year. They often resolved to get out of debt..

and so forth. So New Year's Celebrations is not even a Christian Celebration because it is more Babylonian in which they were pagans. And so because the Roman Calendar began in  46 BC a few years before Jesus Christ was crucified by the Romans around 33 AD.

Seek and You shall find

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you,
For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened (Matthew 7:7-8)

God Bless to the all Subscribers and Megatrndz readers, and listeners. Another beautiful Christian Song is called "Yahweh I know you are near" taken from Psalms 139:

O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
You comprehend my path and my lying down.
And are acquainted with all my ways.
For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.

Life is not a countdown. So let's not treat it as such. And Remember how we are Blessed with the Word of God cause as Jesus Christ said " You are the light of the world". We are not the Darkness. ( Matthew 5:14)
