Present Shemitah is on September 25, 2014-September 13, 2015 The Shemitah means the release, the fall or the collapse or shaking in hebrew. Rabbi Jonathan Cahn believes that American is destined for a great shaking on September 13, 2015 the day of Elul 29. So the Shemitah trend happens every 7 years according to Leviticus:
Leviticus 25:4 NKJV but in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the Lord. You shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard.

Elul 29 is the last day of the Shemitah. The most recent seven year cycle is September 13, 2015. " All credits are wiped away on this day. It is a blessing from the lord.
